The Neuse River between the Falls Lake Dam and Capital Blvd. is a calm flat water paddle about 3 miles long. It takes approximately 1.5 hours to paddle this route. You could see many forms of wildlife and calming scenery. Americas Boating Club of Raleigh is planning a kayak cruise on Saturday, 25 August at 10:30 AM. You don’t need to own a kayak to enjoy this quiet cruise, they are available for rent at the site. Follow this link for more information https://paddlecreeknc.com/neuse-river-trips-2/ . It is a very simple method to enjoy this trip with your own Kayak or rental. You meet the tour company at the takeout point at the bridge over the Neuse River on Capital Blvd. between Raleigh and Wake Forest. The tour company will pick up your Kayak and provide transportation for you and your boat to Falls Lake Dam starting point. If you are renting everything is included in the price, kayak or paddleboard, life jacket, paddles and transportation. A safety briefing/pep talk/ lecture will be given about playing nice with others, and you float/paddle back to your car. Pricing is given in Paddle Creek's website. If you plan to attend please visit their website to reserve your space and equipment.
After the trip, we can decide on lunch. If you are interested in participating in this cruise please drop me an email, text or call Kevin Lyon, 919 395 6731 email@example.com. If you are planning to go, please arrive by 10:15 AM and remember to bring plenty of water, sunscreen, hat and any personal items you may need.
