On Monday, September 17, we will depart Manteo for Coinjock Marina. After crossing the eastern end of the Albemarle Sound and join the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway, we will enjoy a beautiful winding watery path to Coinjock. After arriving at Coinjock, lean back and relax until dinner time as there is very little else to do there, except maybe watch boats go by. We will spend Monday night at Coinjock Marina at (252) 453-3271, ext. 1. Call to make your slip reservation.
On Tuesday morning, we will depart Coinjock and return to the Albemarle Sound and travel west to Edenton, a town full of history. The dockage is free at Edenton, and electricity is available and inexpensive. Contact Edenton Town Docks Dockmaster telephone :(252) 482-2832 to make your slip reservations.
When you call for reservations, be sure to let them know that you are with RSPS as Bobby Glover has notified the marinas that we are coming.
The above is pretty firm, like Jello, but the actual start for some trailerable boats is up in the air. The trailerable boaters may launch at Columbia or Alligator River on Friday and the spend the night so that an early departure on Saturday for Manteo will provide a smoother ride and provide more shopping time on Saturday. What happens on Wednesday is still flexible.
When you make your reservations, please let me know so that I can keep everyone informed of who is participating and if anything changes. When you advise me, please include the name of your boat, names of participants and cell numbers for each person.
We look forward to seeing you.St/C Burt Pearson, SN-ACN
